2010
In October 2010, ROAR hosted their 5th annual fundraising event held at the Bondi Pavillion. At this successful event, our ROAR friends helped us raise a net profit of $11600.
Over the next few events, ROAR aims to raise $45,000, to complete our next project of building a fresh water Well for the children and local villagers of the Linganwe School. We plan to utilise local engineers and workers providing opportunities for the skilled workers in the local village.
2009
In September 2009, ROAR celebrated the generosity of Australian school children hosting our 4th annual fundraising event at the Bondi Pavillion. At this event, ROAR raised a net profit of $7990.
Considering the fears of the Global Financial Crisis, ROAR appreciates the support of its sponsors and thanks everyone who contributed, donated and attended the event.

In June 2008, The Black and White Party held in Darlinghurst, raised a net profit $14,000 on behalf of ROAR.
In September 2008, ROAR hosted ‘Red September’ at Hugos Lounge, Darlinghurst. Here ROAR raised a net profit of $2500. With the funds raised in 2008 we were able to provide uniforms and health cards for all school children in Linganwe school.
In February 2009, two volunteers from Australia (Kavitha Prakash and Paddy Mulligan) travelled to Rwanda and visited ROAR’s Linganwe school, to distribute school uniforms and health care cards to the children.
2007
In September 2007, ROAR raised a net profit $25,000 holding an event at the Establishment, on George St in Sydney).
2005 – 2006
Over the year of 2005, we begin raising awareness of ROAR by holding two fundraising events firstly at a music festival in Petersham RSL, Sydney, where ROAR raised $11,000 and secondly at an event held at a generous sponsors home in Mosman where $12,000 was raised.
The funds raised in 2005 were used to pay for school fees, uniforms and school materials for more than 500 children at Linganwe School. Due to the efforts of ROAR, its volunteers and sponsors, more than 120 children who previously dropped out of school, returned to Linganwe school. (link to details of event and within the event link to photos in photo gallery) Three Australian volunteers (Sarah Elliott, Karen and Ross Howe) visited the ROAR school (2006- 2007) to assess and monitor the ROAR project. The volunteers helped distribute some of the materials during their visit.
